Fauna of Kyrgyzstan
The agriculture continues to remain the basic engine of economic growth in Kyrgyzstan. 40 % of gross national product, half of all workplaces and 17 % of export are created by agricultural sector.
1.3 million hectare of the earths of Kyrgyzstan - arable, they make only 7 % of a total area of Republic. Efficiency more than 70 % of arable lands depends on an irrigation. The irrigated earths give more than 90 % of production of agriculture, and are considered as strategic natural resources of Kyrgyzstan.
For January, 1st, 2007 the territory of the Kirghiz Republic makes 19995,1 thousand in hectares.
As of January, 1st, 2007, from ground fund of republic, in a private property there is 1232,3 thousand in hectares, in the municipal property - 58,2 thousand in hectares, in a state ownership - 18704,4 thousand in hectares.
Now sharply there is a question of use of the earths of an agricultural purpose, especially agricultural grounds. Because of insufficiency of capital investments and absence of repair of irrigating and drying systems the areas of the unsuccessful earths in the meliorative relation everywhere increase. In 2006 in the Kirghiz Republic for the various reasons (zasolenie, bogging, shortage of water, absence of means for acquisition of seeds, combustive-lubricating materials, because of remoteness, economic inexpediency) remained not used 141,1 thousand in hectares of an arable land, or 11,0 percent from all arable land which are available in republic.
