It is an unforgettable tour where you will not only see different kinds of mountains and the world's second largest alpine lake Issyk Kul, but also get a taste of the traditional nomad's life while hiking along our celestial mountains!
Day 1: Bishkek - Konorchek - Chon Kemin
Your guide will pick you up at Manas International Airport and accompany you to Bishkek City (30 min. drive). Accommodation in a guesthouse. Here you will have enough time for taking a shower and bring yourself up. Afterwards you will have a chance to try traditional dungan meals for breakfast. After that we will leave the capital and we will drive to the Chong Kemin valley. On our way, we will visit the Burana Tower (minaret from the 11th century) and an open air museum of Balbans (stone warriors). Then we will stop in Boom gorge - hiking to Konorchek - amazing gorge with colorful red mountains. After hiking we will drive to the amazing valley of Chong Kemin. Night in tents (alt. 1600 m.).
Day 2: Trekking: Chong Kemin - Kalmak Ashu pass
In the morning we load our horses and begin our trekking through a small mountain valley surrounded by spruces. You will hike along the Great Silk Road as ancient traders did. After lunch we will reach the foot of the pass where we will install the camp for the night (alt. 2700 m.). As soon as we are there you will have the opportunity to explore its unforgettable nature on your own. Night in tents.
Day 3: Kalmak Ashu pass - Issyk Kul - Tamchi
The day starts with abreakfast at 8 o'clock. Then we will walk for 2 hours to the pass (3400 m. alt.), then walk down to the Issyk-Kul Lake, the second largest mountain lake in the world. It is situated at the altitude of more than 1600 meters above the sea level and it is called "the pearl of Central Asia". Thanks to the salty water, Lake Issyk Kul possesses curative qualities. We will hike down about 3 hours to reach our vehicle. Then transfer to Tamchi village. Time for swimming. Dinner and night in a home stay.
Day 4: Tamchi - Chon Kizil Suu village
After breakfast we will pack our luggage and then transfer to the southern cost of the Issyk Kul Lake where will stop at local guesthouse in the Kizil Suu village. This is an old Russian village settled by Russian immigrants at the beginning of XX century. Here we will meet our stableman and our horses. It is a good chance to see the way local people live. Dinner. Overnight in a guesthouse.
Day 5: Chon Kizil Suu Village - Djety Oguz gorge
You will be served breakfast at 8 o'clock. Today we will have trekking from the Kizil Suu gorge to the Jety Oguz gorge over the Ak Sai pass (3560ì). During this unforgettable day you will see our celestial mountains and terrific views of its pristine nature. You will have trekking along picturesque places and you will be surprised how changeable our mountains are. They views change so fast that you do not notice how time passes. After it we will come to the Djety Oguz gorge where we will set our camp under the foot of Ak Suu gorge. At this place we can have a short walk to see the Ak Suu waterfall. Overnight in a tents (2500 ì).
Day 6: Djety Oguz gorge - Kashka - Suu gorge - Kyzyl Jar gorge
In the morning we will enter inside of Kaska - Suu Gorge. This is one of the most picturesque gorges in this region. It is a gorgeous place that you will definitely like. You will be carried away by the amazing scenery offered through views the untouched nature. Our camp will be settled at the altitude of 2850 meter above the sea level. Here you can see our famous red mountains of Kyzyl Jar canyon. Overnight in tents.
Day 7: Kyzyl Jar gorge -Yrdyk gorge - Yrdyk Lake
Today we will hike about 8 hours. On the way we will see a lot of edelweiss fields (the flower of love) and pastures that are still used by Kyrgyz nomads. Today during trekking you will have a great chance to get acquainted with them and their nomadic traditions and culture. There are nomads who still live in yurts and come to this summer pastures with their cattle and they are very hospitable and friendly. The yurt is a collapsible dwelling of nomads. It is made without a single nail and can be erect or collapsed just within an hour. Also we will an amazing mountain lake on the altitude of 3100 m. Camping near the lake. From this place you will see Yrdyk peak 3672 m, Vostok peak 4120 m, Issikulskie Per'ya peak - 4225 m. Overnight in a tents.
Day 8: Yrdyk lake - Bokovoi pass - Yrdyk Lake - Mokraya gorge
After breakfast we will go over Bokovoi pass. On our way we will stop for lunch near the small little river. This is a perfect place to make photos. While having trekking we will see Fuchika peak 4010 m, 800 years of Moskow peak 3860 m. There are plenty of them and you can look at them for many hours. You dinner will be ready at 8 pm and you will have a rest then in a calm atmosphere of our pristine mountains. You will feel as if you are 1000 thousand years ago in the wild Tien Shan Mountains Overnight in tents (2600 m).
Day 9: Gorge Mokraya - Kashka Suu gorge
At 8 am is your breakfast and then we will start our trekking to the Kashka Suu gorge. We will see today peak Prjevalskii 4273 m and a hanging glacier on north slope of the peak. This place will surprise you by its beauty and stunning views. Overnight in tents(3000m).
Day 10: Kashka Suu gorge - Jaman pass - Arashan gorge - hot springs of Arashan gorge. In the morning we will start out way to hot springs of Altyn Arashan. We will hike over Jaman tor pass (3517 m). One of the best views of the day is Peak Palatka (5020 m) that is situated on Terskey Mountain Range. The nature is alpine and wild. We have possibility to take natural hot springs ther (57 degrees). Overnight in tents (2550 m).
Day 11: Hot springs of Arashan gorge - Karakol
We are going down for 5 hours to the main road Karakol - Teplokluchinka. After arrival is accomodation in hotel Elita**. Free time in Karakol. It has two famous highlights - a mosque that is made without using a single nail and a church that is more than 100 years old.
Day 12: Karakol - Kochkor village
After breakfast we you will be transferred to the Kochkor village (Naryn region) along the south cost of Issyk-Kul Lake. On the way we will visit Sagyn bay - an old hunter with golden eagle. He will show us his birds of pray. Arrival in Kochkor village, where we can explore national traditions and customs, watch the process of making traditional Kyrgyz carpets and see a folklore concert. Overnight in a local guesthouse.
Day 13: Kochkor village - Son Kul Lake
We leave Kochkor village and start our driving to the one of the most beautiful lakes of Kyrgyzstan - Son Kul Lake. Lake Son-Kul or "The Last Lake" is situated at the altitude of 3016 m. and is the second biggest lake in Kyrgyzstan. Here you will enjoy the beautiful sceneries of the mountains and wild nature because this place is so far from civilization and you can feel real freedom there! Near the lake you can see the life of real nomadic people, traditions and customs of Kyrgyz ancestors and try national Kyrgyz drink - kumis (fermented mare's milk). After lunch you will watch national horse riding games! This night you will spend as real nomads in yurts!
Day 14: Son Kul - Bishkek
In the morning after a good breakfast we will have enough time to make photos of this wonderful place and to have a short excursion. Afterwards we will start our way to Bishkek city. On our way we will stop in Boom gorge for a lunch. After arrival to the capital is accommodation in a guesthouse.
Day 15: Bishkek - Europe
In the morning you will have a flight home. And you will never forget this birthday tour!
